Numerous product innovations and our resource-saving plant pots made of recycled plastic provided for excellent discussions and a successful start at the trade fair.

About 1,560 exhibitors from 45 countries and more than 54,000 visitors – the world’s leading trade fair for horticulture, held between 23 and 26 January, was once again the top destination for the international green sector. “Thanks to the IPM, we had a very successful start to the new year,” says Arno Zerhusen, Sales Manager at Pöppelmann TEKU®. “Plenty of specialist visitors obtained information on our new products as well as on professional marketing solutions made by Pöppelmann, and they also took this opportunity to meet our trade fair team personally. We were delighted about the excellent feedback on our plant pots made of recycled plastic. However, the royal visit to our exhibition stand was literally the jewel in the crown during these eventful days.”

Our idea of sustainability: PÖPPELMANN blue®.

Sustainability is one of the greatest challenges the plastics industry faces. Especially as an international company, we are aware of the responsibility towards our environment. Our PÖPPELMANN blue® initiative focuses actively on sustainability. For instance, 100% of the PCR granules we use for the production of our new resource-saving plant pots in the “Recycling Blue” colour come directly from recycling bins or from the dual system (The Green Dot).

“These plant pots allow us to close the raw material cycle entirely and also to minimise downcycling”, says Sales Manager Sven Hoping. “At the trade fair we were thrilled to hear that our plant pots have been nominated by The Green Dot as ‘Design for Recycling – Best Practice’ for their outstanding recyclability.”

0% booking work and 100% accurate inventory in real-time.

What might sound impossible becomes reality by means of digital RFID technology which is used to simplify our customers’ daily work processes. Activities such as stock taking, inventory and picking/packing of goods can often be very demanding and time-consuming. From now on, horticultural businesses can save a real lot of time by using the RFID solutions we presented at the IPM – with minimum effort and 100 percent stock reliability.

We focus on our customers’ requirements.

Our simple and efficient watering systems are another innovation and the result of the excellent development work carried out by Pöppelmann employees. The Waterwick™ System, the Qwick™ System and the Flex-Watering–Systemsignificantly reduce the amount of watering and care required by plants. Consequently, this means extended durability and perfect plant quality.
